Help! Aftermarket Steering Wheel, w/pictures
Saturday, June 17, 2006 1:47 PM
I sucessfully removed my OEM steering wheel. How do I remove the SIR wire (yellow wire)? I tried pulling it but it won't budge.

Also, how do I connect my horn? This is the only wire I got from MOMO.

This is what the back of my steering wheel looks like.

I would read up on how to do the horn. Search, it has been talked about quite a bit and there are a couple of ways that people have gotten it to work.

okay, i found the snap feature. it was on the bottom on the black thing with the "NOTICE". how do I actually take it off? all it does is go around 360 degrees. i've tried pulling it at every point. I'm guessing I have to take off the yellow thing too. how would I do that?

any help would be great.

well out of frustration I just ripped it all out. I hope I don't need any of this stuff.

If I need so much force pulling the steering wheel out with a steering wheel puller, won't I need just as much force putting it in. Is there such thing as a tool called a steering wheel inserter? I just pushed it in and tightened the bolt as tight as I could. Is this alright? Is my hub coming out too much?

I just found the writeup on the horn so that'll be next weeks project.

yes i'm half naked in the reflection
