Roughly $4,000, after T,T,&T.

Seriously, this would be much cheaper and easier.

buy one instead. cavs are dirt cheap and that would be your best bet. cutting the roof of yours mean you have to strengthen pretty much everything else in the car. the verts are designed differently then the coupes

Theres a lot of work involved in that, I'd definitly reccomend buying one. you gotta figure the only thing that the Convertible and the Coupe have in common is the front end, I mean for instance the coupe has window frames, the vert doesn't. I had thought about how a sunfire would look with t-tops before though, with its firebird look.

Just buy one. This has been asked many times before and for the record, the '99 verts were just coupes sent out and turned into verts. So why go through all the custom work when it's all ready been done? Also, if anyone starts on the whole "T-tops or targa top etc..." just get a vert, custom make a hard top for it and save yourself thet hassle.

All of the J-body convertibles were coupes before ASC turned them into convertibles. You could make your own by cutting and chopping and welding, etc.

But I wouldn't mess with it. Buy a used one and keep your coupe to drive in the winter
