rookie needs suggestions

Hey guys, I am the somewhat proud owner of a Cayenne Red 2000 Cavalier.
originally after getting the car from my parents i liked it, it was my pride and joy. after a few months people began to rag on it and i forgot all of my awesome ideas for my simple "first car"... but now about 3 years after getting it i have once again become interested in making this car into MY car. i would like some feedback on my ideas if its not to much trouble. i have a friend on here who drives a sunfire and he tells me that you can be somewhat unforgiving, but i guess thats because you have heard everything atleast 10 times.

im planning on putting my car into a 3 phase project. while im in college im going to focus on the exterior/interior look and styling. right now i have these parts planned

EXTERIOR:
-F1 fenders
-SS camaro style hood
-Wings West side skirts and rear
-BMX front body kit
-Clear Cornering lenses
-Z-24 spoiler(not a fan of huge wings on front wheel cars)
-Kyowa KR566 rims (18x7.5)
-15% dark limo tint
-I really like the color of my car and plan to repaint it all Cayenne Red as a finished product.
i have already debadged the emblems and the side moldings.

please critique my ideas with any suggestions.

i want to convert my running lights to the cornering lights instead of the headlamps as well as adding red neons to the entire underbody, not just 4 tubes around the edges. im thinking more along the lines of 10 tubes to completely red-out the underbody

INTERIOR:
Red and Charcoal everything.
Racing seats (red and Charcoal) (please suggest a brand)
Red Neons under dash
strobe lights for shows in the ceiling light

Engine and Function
im at almost 90K miles on this 2.2L so im thinking that replacing the engine will be a great idea by the time i get to this stage.
i want to put a 2.0L supercharged ecotec engine if possible (dont know if it would fit/be compatable) the 2.0 would be the same as the new Cobalt SS
cold air intake
dual exhaust
Air Bag suspension

right now i know this will cost a lot, but i really think this is the way to go. i cant just abort my J-body, it is my first car. im hoping i can keep it most of my life.

please feel free to tear down my ideas, rebuild them or suggest anything i may have left out

thanks!

the 2.0 engine will fit. but the tranny wont. just swap in a 2.4 or a 2.2 ecotec.

thats what i was afraid of. what would you suggest? the 2.4? or the 2.2? if i went the 2.4 i would most likely turbo charge it, ive seen some great results from the 2.4turbo

as far as engine i'd go 2.4 only because i have one but ive heard nothing but good things about the Ecotec but as far as engine mods go the first things that i was told to do was motor mounts and mill the head .010,its not too expensive and help a little with h.p but with research and some help you'll find the best things to suit your tastes.

well the 2.4 and 2.2 eco are both great, reliable motors w/ lots to offer. my personal choice would be the eco because its kinda a more 'current' engine and has a few more after market goodies to back it up. but don't be fooled, the 2.4 is no slouch

People say that what doesn't kill you in this life
will make you stronger. I'm not sure if that is true
or not, but i do know one thing-You have to learn from
it and it has to make you better.......it has to.......

I got a turbocharged 2.2 Ecotec and she surprises the V8 guys. I say go Ecotec, as for what to do to your car suggestions are nice but overall its what you want and like cause we all have are own likes and dislikes, when it comes down to it its your ride your oppinion is the one that matters, but as for your plans they sound pretty good keep us up on your build Good Luck.
