done it lol i've done pretty many but just thought id ask around and see what others have done
All i can say is Lambo doors
spandex is a privilege not a right
If it's cheap, its probably crud.
Holds true for everything.
Cheap interior paint/prep = ugly bad looking paint
"Cheap performance" = disaster.
Other than CAI, and the few interior mods you can do for kinda cheap, save you dough and do the mods right the first time.
polishing could be cheap

the words cheap and mods don't coexist together

does for me. i pieced together an IF Front, Type J Sides, and IF Rear for under $100. I consider that damn cheap.

What you know about Street Racing anyways? Only what Fast & Furious taught us....
SO EVERYTHING!
You could always just saw off you mufller.... thats cheap
Seriousley though... the only thing I could think of would be to make yourself a descent home made Cool air intake, and replace your muffler with a $20 glass pack... That wouldn't cost much but it won't do much either.... although it would make the car sound a bit different.
define cheap? what you should really be telling us is: i have "X.XX" dollars. what should i buy with it?
There are only two things that can truly be done cheap, the intake and exhaust. The intake is self-explanatory whereas the exhaust is just a matter of buying piping and a larger catalytic converter (well, welding would be necessary but thats not that big a deal, they sell oxy+propane torches at home depot for about $50). Of course, if you have a machine shop, there are a lot of other things that open up, but most people don't.

Like they said... mods arent cheap... only thing i can think of is i know of ppl that have masked tail lights and headlights off for a design and painted lol... paint interior.. kinda cheap.. performance id say dont get a CAI, save the money u would use buying it to get your supercharger.... dont take the cheap way out... i learned that the hard way over and over... it always ends up F**king you over in the end...

Lemme guess, you bought one of those Injen ones or whatever...
Its a tube, you can go to home depot and find the exact same thing (minus the fancy sticker).
Resourcefulness is key, think of things that wouldn't usually be used on a car that are significantly cheaper than the manufactured parts.
You could actually do a P&P, but your car will be out of commission for some time unless you buy a spare head (and plus its a lot of work on the 2.4s).

Almost anything that you can do to a car is DIY. It depends alot on the level of knowlege automotively you have.
Barely Street Legal!!!
since you have a ld9 maybey that tube removal thing that is in the intake box? looks line a pencil holder im sure someone will chime in and say the real name
Getting rid ot the stock intake on a LD9 actually makes a bigger difference than you might think since it's so restrictive.... you should def feel a difference... but it's not going to be huge.....
btw... there's nothing wrong with Injen brand intakes... there probably the highest quality you can get.... but to be honest... thier def not worth the money they charge for them.... look at my sig... I should know
Get some of those Magnetic Flames from Pepboys. Yeaaaah, that'll get you some street cred.

Are you talking about the intake resonator or am I thinking of something completely different?
To be honest... I can't think of any stock intake part on a LD9 that isn't restrictive as hell.
As far as using parts off of other cars you can always use a manifold and throttlebody off of a 2.3 quad 4.
