Well, I'm not new, I've been a member of this forum for almost a year now. I drive a 2001 Chevy Cav base with the 2200 and the Getrag, and my wife got her pretty yellow 2002 Sunfire with the Ecotec and a Getrag. I do want to say that I have appreciated any help I've gotten over the last year, espically with my tach install, and my wiring to the coilpacks is still a mess, but this site has been very informative. SO all you newbies know, the SEARCH option is all too helpful indeed, and if you use it, the answers will come!
About me, I live in River Falls, WI. I work at a small machine shop in Woodville where we build engines. Anything from daily driver to high performance, big block chevy/ford/chrysler to the .9L Suzuki/GEO, and of course all the big AG tractors down to the small lawn tractors, and light/medium/heavy duty truck engines as well. Basically, any engine that consumes gas or diesel.
About my project: I'm currently in the process of building an Ecotec. I am going to force air it, but which way I want to go is still in the air yet.
But my plans are: complete Ferrea Valvetrain, Eagle bottom end with Wiesco pistons, p&p head (done myself w/ 3 angle valve job), neutral balance shafts, adj timing gears, comp cams, and either GM supercharger or Hahn turbo kit! This ecotec will most likely be installed into my 01 Cavy, unless I find a good deal on an 03-05 LS Sport!
Otherwise, I like hanging out with people, drinking beer once in a while, spending time with my wife, playing wii and ps2, working on my car, and listening to hard rock/heavy metal!
That's me in a nutshell, don't be afarid to PM me or reply to my many posts. I have a wealth of knowledge about engines in general, and I'm always more than happy to share a few tips/secrets in my spare time. Thanks for reading and I welcome any newb to the site!
Project Resurrection is in full swing!
