i have a 98 sunfire with 2200 with bolt on's i have a pacesetter header and i have to cut the O2 sensor wire to make it reach but i keep on throwing a code and it is running really rich and somtimes when i start it idles really rough until it warms up and i dont feel like paying a mechanic $300 just to tell me that i need another part.

how do you know its running rich?

the 2200s start up rich until they warm up anyway thats normal.

what code are you throwing

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

sounds like you might have a bad connection where you extended the O2 wire. I've extended the wires on my 2.4 and it runs fine. I'd check those connections, if you didn't solder the connections you might want to do that.

already done that i had me fuel injectors cleaned new battery plugs and wires coil packs alternater i also have a throtle body spacer wish i would of found this site before i bought it and the bolts were a little lose so i figured that might have been the problem so fixed that and didnt start it intill this morning and the battery was dead and then i noticide the light for my venom control was on and wouldnt go off im having nothing but problems but i think i fixed the problem with my venom i just hope it is not a worn piston ring becuase when i took my spark plugs out the 2nd cylinder spark plug had a little glaze in it is that normal the have about 1500 miles on them but that was the only one that had a slight glaze on it ever other one was just darkend im so lost about this car is i hope it is just the o2 sensor but this it the 3rd one i bought so i think it is something else.

have you tried running it without the venom control hooked up? could it be going wonky and causing it to run rich?

yes unhooked the venom and thought about taking the throttle body spacer out but it started after i put the header on so i dont know could it be the exshaust i've got a pacesetter header with 2.5 exshaust all the way back.

Did you re use the old O2 sensor or get a new one when you installed the header? If it's still the old one... it could just be going bad.

Also... Venom control boxes dont make cars faster... they just make some cars feel faster by screwing with the TPS singnal and some other things.
