V6 in an 00 Z24??????
Wednesday, May 28, 2008 6:46 AM
I had someone mention to me that you could get/use a V6 in an engine swap. I assume of course it would be a GM engine but is this a possibility? Which engine would work for this? Has anyone ever done it? I have my doubts but don't know enough to be certain.

I guess my search wasn't thorough enough. Please excuse me for taking up the 30 seconds that it took you two to read the post.

Actually with my slow ass comp at work it takes about 5 minutes, between loading, reading, typing, and posting. Also if you have been reading on the org for a little bit you should know one of the biggest sins is not searching and is punishable by flaming.

For what purpose would any of you flame someone in the Newbie forum unless they were being a complete asshat? This forum IS FOR questions that are repeated over and over and over and over again.

To Mr. Trenholm: As has been stated, the easiest swap is going to be a 60 deg V6 (3100, 3400, etc.). It's about the closest you will get to a bolt up, wire-up, tune and go The 90 deg's such as the 3800 Supercharged will require a reinforced subframe as well.
