New Newbie

I just found this web site when I was looking for 100 MPH Club stickers. My Wife and I have been to the 1/4 mile a couple times now. We have been getting a real kick out of driving at the drag-way. It is nice to be able to drive fast legally and safely at the local drag-way. This is a lot less expensive than other forms of racing as well.

Here is my best time last Wednesday:
Time 6:36 PM, R/T 0.067, 60 Foot 2.539, 330 Foot 6.422, 1/8 mile 9.542, MPH 78.910, 1,000 Ft 12.204, 1/4 Mile 14.423, MPH 102.04, Date July 2, 2008.

I do not really know what all of these mean or if this is good or not. And when I tell people we have done this they ask what our 1/4 mile time is not how fast we went(?). I am sure I will learn...

This photo is from our first time running my 2007 Mustang GT June 11, 2008.
I think my Wife is driving this run.

Take care

Welcome..this is obviously a j-body forum meant for cavaliers and sunfires..but we accept all car lovers..Yes, when people refer to the time they are trying to get the fastest elapsed time. The MPH is your trap time which is usually a good indicator of how quick you should be able to run the 1/4 mile. Not a bad time...but should be in the high 13 second region with a newer Mustang GT. You'll gt better with practice, you can get a lot better times by decreasing the 60 foot time. Getting the right start is key to running good times..Anyways welcoem and there is a lot to learn on this site, just make sure you search before posting new threads or you will be eaten alive!
