well just for starters im new at this stuff but have had plenty of 95 to 05 cavs, but i did my first engine swap last night, first of all i took my 97 cav with a 2.2 5 speed and wanted to put a 2.4 with a 5 speed in it well i went ahead and took my motor out and went to put my new one in it well had it half way in and found out the tranny mounts were different so went ahead and cut and grinded for about 2 hours on the car and put the new ones in it what a pain in the butt but got it done and every else went together pretty good. has any one else ever ran in to this problem ????

what year was the 2.4 from? was most likely a getrag trans and you originaly had a Isuzu
