Hey guys. Indigo here from B.C. Canada. Recently bought a 1998 Sunfire. So far I am happy with it. I do have a possible lifter or valve adjustment issue. Poor thing sounds like a diesel. But I was told about this forum by a friend who owned a 96 Sunfire, so I thought I'd join in.
Welcome to the org! There's plenty of good info all over the site, the search button will be your friend as in a lot of things have been covered before but post up any questions may have. I'm not much of a 2.2 2200 guy but im sure a lot of other members can help you out. Welcome! I'd replace the timing kit before anything else. The tensioner is a known problem part.
