Alright before I go tearing my dashboard apart. I wanted to know if this was a common problem for this year and if there is somewhere I should look first. Here's what's going on.
97 Cavalier base model 5 speed. NOT ONE EXTRA.
-Early morning hop in the car turn it on to let it warm up.
-Ten minutes later I roll out of my drive way turn my headlights on everything works fine.
-I turn my heater off and all my dash lights go out my info panel and my center console stuff.

Obviously it's a short so I first I gotta look for a wiring diagram anyone got that on hand? And as I stated earlier is this a common problem?

If you're moving the dials on the heater when it happens.. I would start there.

Had this exact thing happen to me ended up being a short in the hvac module thing there... on the inside it shorts blows the fuse every time
