I use to own a 94 beretta with the 3100 SFI and the 4 speed auto, and it was said that for every 100 lbs you remove, your 1/4 mile time with go down by a tenth of a second, does that hold true for most cars or atleast the ecotecs as well, because one day i was bored and i removed 109 pounds from my car, just be taking out the rear seats, rear seat belt buckles, passenger seat, spare tire and jack and the little bits that hold it in, and then the center counsole.
Here are pictures at my cardomain site
"Sink or Swim, Do or Die!"
Should be true but you also have to remember less wieght in the car will make it a little harder to get traction. If your traction is good then more or less yes you should shave .1 or so off the 1/4 mile time.....
First work on the J's shocks and struts. Stiffen the car up or you will get wheel hop.
