I am preparing to take my 01 Z24 (manual) to the track soon. I have played around with many different shift points but still wonder what people with LD9's and manuals sifted at that have had success in the 1/4 mile. I know on the dyno my car didn't make much above 5800rpm. Thanks for any help and/or suggestions.

well I shift at the highest gear RPM, 6400 around.
My shift light comes on at 6200, but I wait just a second before shifting. I try to shift as high as I can. First I usually shift at 6k.

shifting high wont do much if all u do is loose power in higher rmps. i would say shift a few hunded rpms higher than when u car stops making power so at about 6k. that is what i did in mine and if i waited nelonger, it would only hurt the performance of my car...dont hit rev limiter bc that motor doesnt like it one bit...spun bearing will put u out of comission*
