yeah I was very disapointed with the outcome, maybe becasue its a 4 door..... I only traped at 83.6 mph, oh and then on the way home from the track, the CV axle popped out, while driving on the interstate. so no track for a while for me.

okay....im at work right now, so when I get home I will post it. also just a side note: it took me forever to realize that I launching an automatic, I needed to put it 1 not D, when in D i would launch and it would bog way down and the low trac would kick in thus hurting , my launch, I put in 1 and my tac off come on, this really helped. anyway time slip will be up this afternoon. this is my first time running the cavailer, usually at the track I run my 92 thunderbird SC

RT dont mean jack when it comes to your times. your 60 foot seems a little slow. get wheel hop or did you spin?

A B&M ShiftPlus on setting 2 can turn off the traction control as well, depending on how its installed...

i went friday night for the first time and i too own a 4 door w 2.4 auto but mine is an LS so its got power everything and its heavy. now i don't have secret cams, or underdrive pulley's yet but i was running full interior and started of the night with a 16.8 but by the 5th run i managed a 15.938@84.97 and then again on the 7th a 15.944@85.00. i will post pics of the timeslips to verify if anyone wants. now how were you launching? i noticed when i snapped off a low reaction time i ran mid 16's but when my times were a little slower around 0.250-0.450 i didn't hop so much and thats was wen i broke into 15. now it does seem that 4 door w 2.4 are becoming a little bit more common though.

mines an LS with power everything/full intierior and full tank of gas (i had the kiddo so i didn't want to run out on way home) next time in going with 1/2 tank, and no spare and everything outta the trunk

same here but i was on 1/4 tank, full pressure on tires, but next run i hope to be stripped down and have the underdrive and 2.3 LO intake mani on, and possibly more stuff just dont know. best of luck man.

my mom's LS sport4 door cavalier ran a 16.5 stock. that was with full interior, half tank of gas. maybe the tracks elevation has something to do with your time

standered 02 z 4door i ran 16.7 in ther 1/4. 2.6 60's on 17" rims. 1/4 mile speed was at 83.9 with every thing in the car and a passenger.
launch rpms were around 25-3000 rpms. i need to go hire but i had wheel spin and backed off. my buddy who was riding was smileing ear to ear the whole way down. "first time".
he was realy suprised when i beat the civic in the other lane.

What he said ^ I want a 2.4 cobalt. Also, those times don't look too bad. The 8th mile is decent, the auto slows you down on the big end.
