Ben Jr got his first point meet win at the Mid Mich Motorplex this past weekend. Hard work pays off.. He was cutting down the tree and running on or close to his number.

Thanks Dave and PJ

Good news and bad news!

yes we did get the tranny fixed but after the final run picked up my winning timeslip and tranny would not go into 1st or 2nd, so the "experimental" parts only lasted 8 runs

here are a few links hope they work

Turned out to be a shifting fork issue again.. Broke the brazed tip on test and tune day. Replace it with factory plastic tips. Ben Jr just cant make those last. .... Have some work to do at work tomorow.. We'll having it all back together and working tomorow..

I had a lot of problems with bent shift forks on my car when I had it as well, seems to be the weak point of the Getrag's. Congrats on the times, you guys are getting REALLY fast for NA j-body's, faster than I ever thought I would see on a streetable car!

I ended up adding more weld on the inter and outer areas.. The last set I did lasted since early season of 2005. With a nut behind the wheel, I cant say that not to bad.. I finished a back up set today.. Ben had a few things to finish.. The car is ready again..

Hmmm i use 100 oct unleaded fuel @ $6/gal and the car gets maybe 10 mi/gal so the best choice for me is to drive my other cavy @ 30 mi/gal to work

I have more $$$ into my engine than some have in there hole car.

HHR's have bronze tips...on first and second gear....and can be put in third and forth blah....
I killed the plastic tip in third in my HHR, and the dealer put a bronze one from second gear on the third gear fork.
I hope that all made sense.

Oh?

what trans?

00-08 F23's all use the same P/N for shift forks, as do 05-08 F35's, the "tips" are not serviceable.

I looked all over GM SI, and talked to GM Part-Tec..... no one could tell me that this was true....

Got a P\N?
