questions about 2.2 cavi engine on our oval track
we had the head milled to the max ,ported the head, 4 angle valve job,
but the problem we have had from the start is valve adjustment
i know that the valves cant be run down now to the bottom because of the milling so i made them adjustable rockers
my question is are these hydraulic lifters or solids?
i tryed to adjust them like small block chevy,take them down till the pushrod had some eff ort on them when spinning them and it runs fine until you go behond zero lash and in other cars you just run and adjust until zero lash and then adjust 1/4 to 3/4 turn after that and all is good.
on this motor it will not bleed the lifter down at 1/4 turn and bring the cylinder back to fireing , anybody had this problem?
I know others will say run the 2.4 but our track allows neon 2.0 4 valve engines but not any other engine but gm 2.0 or 2.2 single overhead cam engines.we are holding our own against the neons 16 of them, 4 gm cars and donot want to join the neon racers club.
