The fuel pump has just stopped working in the car I am building. I tried putting power directly to the gray wire and I still have nothing with the key on or off. What does the purple and black wires do? Do either of them need power or ground? What has other people done?
Ground!! The black wire is a ground!
i will cut the black wire and ground it out so I don't run into anymore problems. If I got to drop the tank on this thing I am going to just cut a hole in the floorboard and run the wires through it and just cover it with a piece of sheetmetal so I don't have to drop the tank if the wiring messes up or the fuel pump were to go bad...
Is the relay in the engine bay working? Are you getting a signal from it?
