Need help with our Outback

Hey guys.

A few weeks ago I changed the plugs and wires in our 99 Outback. Not a fun job. For those that don't know it's a horizontal engine and the spark plugs are directly across from the frame rails. I actually got my socket wrench wedged between the cylinder head and the frame rail because I wasn't paying attention.

Anywho, the car has developed a misfire on cylinder number 2. As I pulled the spark plug wire off that plug, part of the wire remained on the plug. It's the part that "seals" against the cylinder head. Almost a rubber grommet it you will. Well this is preventing me from pulling the plug out. I have no idea how to get it out.

The spark plugs sit very far back in the cylinder head. It makes it impossible to get needle nose or any other kind of instrument back there to do any decent kind of work. The only thought I had was to put some superglue on the plug wire and then stick it back on the plug and hope it fuses together enough to get the thing out.

If anyone has worked on these engines before and can offer some advice I'd really appreciate it. I don't want to have to take it to the dealer. Would pulling the valve cover off help at all?
