After getting sticker shock from an 09 STi ($39K) I decided what the hell.... I'll try the 09 WRX base package to see if there really is a noticeable difference between the 2... and Honestly, I couldn't really feel one nor need to spend the extra $12K for a lip, BBS wheels, different suspension (i'd go with TEIN anyways) and a different rear diffuser... all of which If i really wanted I could get later down the road for less...

I am absolutely in love with this car. I'm waiting on a quote back from my insurance company and if its not too astronomically high, they have a white premium version coming in early July ..... she'll be in my Garage!

The state trooper who pulled me over is great friends with one of the Officers I work with at my internship, and all 3 of us got together last week over dinner on me, and talked about the issue. Since this was my first violation ever, its now a non-moving violation no greater than a parking ticket.
$60 dinner for 3 plus $30 parking fee ticket > most likely loosing my license for 6 mos.
and NO I will not explain to anyone else what it was that happend, and those who I did mention, please keep it to yourself.

Get it cody. I love these cars.. only hate i have is their chrome taillights.. nothing some red kandy paint can't fix
or smoke em with black. I really want one of these as well, but I'll be stuck with a terribly designed car for a while

i didnt like the hatches either.... i saw one the other day and i'll have to admit, it something i wouldnt mind havin! hatches have been growin on me for a while now... the next car i get will probably be a hatch-style or awd (if i get my way).

wow, those red tail lights really make a HUGE difference.
as a matter of fact the chrome lights are seriously the only thing i hate about the car.

cody... you left out the wider fenders, 40 hp, and the 6 spd as well.
the wrx's are nice. 09's are actually a tad quicker than the sti only due to the gearing.
you'll be happy with it. i can promise you that. just make sure you do your research when it comes to modding it.
whoops... left out the brembos too that come with the sti.
