So i totalled my daily driver due to a deer over the weekend so im in the market for a new car. I found an 06 G6 at a local dealer with the 3500 motor, leather interior and panaromic sunroof. It seems like a nice car and i can get it for right around 8,500-9,000 through one of the people there that i know and it has like70,000 miles on it. What do you guys think of these? And for the people that have them how are your experiences with them? Happy you bought it? Im just trying to get some more imput before i go out and buy something. Thanks.
Not bad....
AVOID THAT SUNROOF though...GM has nad nothing but problems with them...they leak quite easy.....
i had 2 as rentals. i dislike them!

I own an 06 GTP coupe. I really like it, interior is great, power is good. But as was said, avoid the pano-roof like the plague. If you have any more questions feel free to PM or ask me here.

lol
G6's are the most gangsta car you will ever drive.
I was going to test drive one before I ended up buying my Grand Prix, I sat in it and right away I knew I didn't like it, the seat was way to small for me. If i was smaller I think I would of liked it, however IMO the Grand Prix's looks better and I would much rather have the 3800

too bad his dumb ass didn't fall out and get run over by his own car.

Agreed, that panny roof is good for nothing unless you live were it does not rain.
Also Ball joints are an issue in those G6's other then that, there not bad.
I'd have to say it may be ok deal as far as bluebook goes....but....
I'd look around some more. I found an '03 Buick Regal GS -76k miles for 7000. Yes, it isn't as new a car, but it's way MORE car for the money. If you could find a oneowner GS, I'd look At that. If you just want something sporty looking, it's ok, but there a lot of better cars out there in that price range.

Buy a modded Cobalt SS instead
.
Got one for a tid-bit more.
I was told they are "disposable/rental" cars like the grand am was. After riding in one, I'd say the interior quality is above the grand am. the 3500 is also leagues above the first gen 60* V6s that came before it.
I wish a 6-speed manual was an option for every engine, but oh well its GM...
I drove the sedan from Cincy to Florida as a rental for 10 days. I was impressed by the ride and interior. Mine just had the 4 banger but wasn't bad passing when I needed to and got great fuel economy. These cars are a big step up from the Grand Am. Much nicer than a junky cobalt too.

I own an 05 GT 4 Dr, traded my Sunfire for it and Ram p/u. Its not a bad car and Driver Information Centre is nuts it tells u everything u wanna know or that u need to know buuuuuuuut its not without its flaws so here you go if ur wondering, power steering can be a problem since its electric its prone to failure, sunroofs leak cause drain tubes fall off, control arms and ball joints are junk and one part so if one fails ur doing it all, front wheel bearings are prone to failure, steering intermediate shafts are crap so that i can tell u u will be replacing at some point, mines been done 3 times had 2 sets of control arms and 2 sets of bearings, the list goes on my freind so its BUYER BEWARE but if on the off chance u get a good one you will love it cause i do like mine, its good on gas and goes like snot but it can be a pain, oh ya the remote for the keyless entry is crap too they just quit working but nothin tin foil wont fix. Feel free to ask what u wanna know and ill answer as best i can.
And incase anybody is wondering its not just mine these r just a few common issues that plague these cars, check out the G6 websites youll c what im talking about.
