Really the only people I see driving Scion TC's are hot chicks. I think it's officially a chick car man.

I went from this...

And this....

to this....

It may be the dark side.... but the darkside is an upgrade to MUCH better car in everything except straight line acceleration.

Dont get me wrong i loved my cavy but i lost intrest in it and well ive only had my car for a year and im lovin it. Jbodies have alot of potiental dont get me wrong but when i see one thats rear wheel drive i may go back and get one. There is ALOT of things you can do to the tc for looks as well as power. The new 2011 tc both 6spd auto and manual transmission so with some boost that could be a beast.

Did I miss something...is the tC now rear wheel drive?

I think he's saying when they start making J-bodies rear wheel drive he will go back to driving a J?

Yeah, I got that! Just funny how he can love up a Japanese FWD at the same time as saying it.

How much better is a TC really than a J...really?
Re: Just wondering

well you can do the conversion to a rear wheel drive. There are two tcs in the pro drift events. Yes one has the nascar truck series motor but the other has the motor swap from tje sister car from japan.

Well what do you want to know safety wise performance wise. From what i remember the only thing the cavy had on the tc was probabaly be maybe 1500 on the price. A ls sport when i got mine new was around 18k thats with added sunroof. That comes stock on a tc as well as 10 airbags.

Crash rating was 3-3.5 at best on the cavy tc 5s on front side and rear. Like i said in the beggining i was just seeing who all drove them on the forums?

Not to pick on ya, but take any car designed 10 to 15 years ago and compare it against any new car, and it will come up short in this department. A 90's Corolla will come up just as short compared to a new Cobalt. Just sayin!

I know im saying scion has takin it to another level. If chevy were to say here what the consumer likes to drive and wants to see on the car and can keep a decent price tag they would sell more cars in the long run.

How many times to you see chevy giving their customers anything. By that i mean like sets of rims exhausts interior packages so on so forth raffled off a car shows?

Im a chevy guy at heart but now its only for classics. Scion brand as been there for me so i will stand by them.

10 Airbags....wow are you misinformed. The tC has 6 airbags. Dual front airbags, 2 side curtain airbags, and dual side impact airbags for a total of 6. The tC is a great value for the money, panoramic moonroof, 17" alloy wheels, 4 wheel disc brakes, auto climate control, pioneer audio system with subwoofer for under 19k with an auto and under 18k with a manual. A comparable Civic EX is a couple of thousand more and with less hp and torque.

Not unintentionally accelerating since 2009!!!!

Why bother? 98% of people who buy a car dont mod it. Thats what the aftermarket is for anyways.
