I went as long as I could without buying something new. But as of a month ago my head gasket was leaking and had been leaking for some time. My RF control arm was destroyed (caused steering to be horrible) and needed new tires
not to mention the 3 batteries, 2 alts, and numerous other dealership runs
I just couldn't justify fixing it anymore

Damn, Almost a 20k loss.....I never buy a car brand new.
Genesis should be tits though
20k loss? I only owed 7k on the g6 so its a 500 dollar loss LOL
as for mods...im going to try really hard to not go crazy. Just simple bolts ons - intake, bov, exhaust, and possibly a mild drop... def don't want to void my 10/100,000 mile warranty

lol apparently you guys don't see my sig??
and now that you all know its a auto and I hear all the @!#$ about it
It will never see a track, I don't race, and didn't like how the 6 spd was when I test drove one. Plus I enjoy the auto. It has paddles and a launch control but those wont even get used

lol, little defensive? Im not gonna talk @!#$ because you chose an auto. I was just curious what transmission you went with.
Not something I would drive but they are definitely cool looking...i dont think Hyundai when I see them on the road...

You must be kidding. It had one of the best 6 speed trans I've ever shifted. Will be buying my black 3.8 in June with my bonus pay.

True dat.
But the auto with paddles is fun, even if it's not a true paddle shift. If you live where chronic severe traffic is an issue you HAVE to have an auto. The paddles at least give you some fun on the days when traffic isn't an issue.
