-No A/C no P/S
-JDM Type-R trans. w/ LSD (4.78 FDR)
-ACT clutch extreme, ACT flywheel
-Open wastegate dump

Looks good, removing the amber from your headlamps and a new grill will make a big difference in the look of the car.
i like it alot....to bad the turbo manifold is not ceramic coated or something.....would really pop in that engine bay

1st - 39mph
2nd - 60
3rd - 86
4th - 121
5th - 159
How long do you want the gears to be? They are decently spaced out with a reasonable amount of rpm drop-off during shifting.
My current gear ratios allow for speeds of:
1st - 38mph
2nd - 62
3rd - 88
4th - 114
5th - 153
Again with minimal rpm drop-off between gears and I love it!!! It's custom and it's really fun. Keeping rpms during shifts makes it feel like/sound like a little racecar. Close ratio transmissions are where its at.
I may be shortening my fifth gear (already have the gear) to 0.878. HAH! Top speed will be 135mph at 7200rpm with a 60mph cruising rpm of 3100rpm!
I like it all except for the front bumper looknig like its falling off.
How much boost you pushing through that thing?

So how much do you love the S300? It's the only other platform I've tuned on besides HPT, and its LEAGUES ahead of it. Are you using the boost control feature, or the launch control? No lift shift?
I would worry about puting a filter on your turbo before a new grill.
As for the tranny if you're happy with it thats all the matters. Take a peek at the gear rations of a Type R tranny vs a GSR or LS though and you'll see what I mean.
the car has a top speed that should not be reached in that car with gears that are basically equally spaced all the way up to that top speed. That is ideal gearing in my eyes. Traction becomes the problem.
Its not about top speed. Its about the amount of shifts you take. Look at when the STI went to a 6 speed transmission over the 5 speed. They were shorter gears and it actually slowed it down. Again, it has nothing what so ever to do with top speed.

The 09/10 wrx is actuall a tenth faster to 60 than the STi but the STi is slightly faster in the 1/4.migh have something to do with the power level there.

I think what you meant is the 09/10 WRX is a tenth faster than the 08 STI. If thats what you meant that thats correct. Its because in 09 they got a larger turbo (41 HP more) and the fact the STI 6-speed transmission actually slows the 0-60 time down. WRX uses 5 speed sti is 6 speed.
If thats not what you meant.....then you're incorrect.

Heh, ya I like it though, as said it will still do 150mph+ in fifth which faster than I would even go in this car. But I agree this turbo is beefy and I'm sure longer gears would be better.
I should have turned the flash off for the engine bay shots, it made it look more rusty than it is.

Its fantastic, I am using launch control and no lift shift! My check engine light acts as a shift light at 9k rpm's. I have the stock Civic tach which only reads 8k rpms.

As for the wrx/STi. I thought the 09 wrx was fast to sixty than the STi only due the gearing. If I'm wrong correct me please.
Turbo setup looks nice and all, but whats with Honda guys and the trend of making the hood as ugly as possible? Be it flat black spray primer, or rusting it out? I know the rust thing started with the euro tards, but now the Honda guys really got that ugly hood trend down to a science...

Its for weight reduction, flat black weighs like 47 pounds less than oem paint.
It's actually a carbon fiber hood, with really bad clearcoat!
It came on the car lol.
How hard is that to fix? Would I just wetsand, and then apply clearcoat?
