So I have been looking at these cars for a while now and wondering if anyone here has any insight on them. I found a 07 black on black SS that I am interested in. I wanted to see how they are as being a reliable daily driver?

Not sure about the Impala, my buddy has a Grand Prix GXP with the LS4. I think it only has like 50k on it and the transmission just blew. Not sure if its a common issue or he just beat the @!#$ out of it but something to look into.
Other than that he loves it and says the gas millage is actually really good.
my buddies gxp grand prix started having some trans issues as well. he did have some modifications done to it though.
ive heard of a couple trans problems with the gxp's. i know the last dealer i was at the new car manager had an 08 and he chewed thru brake pads fast, 30k on the car and 3 sets of pads and 2 rotors. the reason for the good mileage is displacement on demand, long hauls and cruising the car is not in v8 mode. ive driven all 3 and they are nice cars, ride good and are pretty quick, would be a good dd.
I own a 2007 Impala SS. Replaced the tires. You can burn through rubber pretty quick in these cars. My tranny is fine. But every car is different.

Well upon more research I have heard of alot of transmission issues, so i guess i'm going to sway away from the GM V8 FWD cars.
