Well...I bit the bullet and bought myself a Honda. While looking for a daily driver I needed functionality and reliability. Throw in the fun of a 5 speed manual with Realtime AWD and I found myself a winner at the Volunteers of America retail lot.
Long story short. Found this vehicle on a whim and couldn't pass it up. Saw it on Autotrader last Tuesday night, took the day off Wednesday to show up when their doors opened, and went home with this beauty. It was a donated vehicle with zero issues.

I always liked that model best. I didn't know being towed made the odo creep up. Was it actually driven 200 k miles and towed or just towed?
Either way a b series is always a good fway to go
Yup. Odo creeps up while on all 4 wheeling being pulled around. This is my 2nd vehicle with high miles due to that towing setup. I had an outback with 180k. Old people seem to love towing AWD cars!
No clue actual drivetrain mileage. Judging by how perfect the driver seat is still I am doubting it has even close to 200k on it. Drives like 60k to be honest.

VTEC head is a must.
2010 Honda Fit LX
I would go with a b16 head from a 00 civic, it has smaller combustion chambers. ITR or CTR cams and you'll love it.

Lift? Aggressive tires? Eh, leave it stock.
O noes!
Maan don't mod that thing, just keep it clean and enjoy it as a dd. Put your money into the J.

The J is fine as is. Kinda bored with it actually.. It's been 10 years since I've owned another platform that I was remotely interested in modifying.. I'm not going crazy by any means. Just a few things to keep it interesting.
Wagon Attack videos are the best! Love those!
I wouldn't be the first to K-swap a CRV Brad.. lol..

gsr head and turbo. would be premium in one of these. seriously research on the awd system on those. honda is very picky with those things.
Needs Trak-Lites wrapped in 31's.
grats on the DD and i vote for either a GSR head or a whole K-swap
welcome to a platform with ALOT of aftermarket
RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
nice buy.. nice find too.. 5spd ones are much more difficult to come by
k swap would be sweet, but would cost 10grand +
b20 vtec would be around 1000 bucks depending on availibility/quality of parts.
im a fan! glad to see another j owner sees the reliability and longevity of hondas

You should go dig through Goodwill donation centers too and open an eBay store for those goods.

Needs stick on fenders and a vtec tuning badge!
You know, those don't actually look all that bad with a lift and tires on them... Although if you've got intentions of offroading the thing I'd much sooner go with a small turbo setup like a 28R or something than a VTEC head. VTEC is more for maintaining driveabillity at low-midrange and opening the cork in the upper RPMs where a smaller turbo will give you more power and torque through the whole RPM band, much more useful for off-roading, IMO.

Starting in 02 they came with a k20 from the factory.. Doubt k swap would be 10g, but it's possible I guess. Well now that I think about that would probably need the drive train swapped to.
