Looking at purchasing a used Vibe right now. I looked at the carfax and it has had the driver side window recall work done for a shattered window.
If the window breaks again, will it be fixed under recall even with me not being the original owner? It sounds pretty common...

It's the same as the Corolla/Matrix recall.

Dealer replaces the bolts holding the window to the regulator on both front doors.

The bolts have failed before and most likely dropped the window on the Matrix you are looking at.

If a dealer fixed the recall there should be no reason for it to happen again.

I had a friend go look at a Vibe for me in Imlay City, said it clicks when the window goes down. That seems to be the predecessor to the issue.

It's sadly at a dealer, and seems to be high still. Has 117k on it, needs tires too. He will sell it for 6295 with some 6 month/7500 mile warranty, or take 250 off without the warranty. Can't find these Vibes around with decent mileage. Any input?
