HPT Questions

I have a few questions about different things in HPT. I remember reading (can't find the post now) that you should copy the High Octane PE table and paste it in the Low Octane PE table. Is this true? Is this what you guys have been doing? I realize by doing this if the ECu sees knock it won;t have a lower timing table to go to (because they will both be the same). My plan is to have no knock to start with.

Next my question is about the 2 speed limiter option. What is it for?? Just to be clear. I'm not asking how to change the speed limiter (I have done it before, and even the old school way). I just curious about that field.

Ok that is it for now. Thanks

Yeah, you copy the table over, but then you change the low table slightly so it has room to move for knock.

As for the speed limiter, there are two, speed limiter and speed limiter 2, one is forward, the other is reverse.

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!

Unless you're going to Joey Chitwood's School of Stunt Driving, I wouldn't see much need to adjust the reverse Limiter!

Ok, thanks I thought I saw somewhere else another field for the reverse speed limiter (other than Speed Limiter 2)

Madjack: I wonder if anyone has every tested the reverse speedlimiter? I know I have not, but I'm thinking of trying it out.

Another question I have. Looking at my stock file for my 2001 Z24 5 speed. Under transmission it has settings (I realize since I'm not a auto no need to mess with, but I was just looking). The shift RPM's listed for performance was very low (like 5000 RPM). Is this just because my car is a auto, and it does not matter (like a default setting)? I was curious if the auto's was really low like that. I know there is also speed adjustments you can change for shifting as well. Just thought that RPM seemed low.

Thanks again.

Have you tried the reverse limiter yet?
