did you originally not have a tach? you will probably need RK Sport's tach adapter.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
There should be a full tach signal on your engine bay fuse block.
This has been answered numerous times. Not to rag on you but please do a search next time.

Look at the cover over the fuse block in the engine bay. There is a lead that says "Tach"... jam the bastard in there and you're good to go.
I got a full tach signal for my S-AFC I there.

Slowly but surely may some day win this race...
That is coming from the wire out of the ECM.
That would be the black connector, number 10 slot.
O noes!
Yes, if you take the connectors OFF the ecu (which you'll have to do), and you look at the black connector, its Pin 10. Simply tap that wire coming out of that pin (if you want a more detailed description, visit
http://www.ny-jbodies.org/library/library.asp ). That is a full tach signal.
Other options you have are to set the E-Manage to a 2 cylinder vehicle (not sure if you can) or buy a tach adapter. If you have a 99, that pin might not be in the ECU (there will be no wire coming out of Pin 10 on the black connector), and you can simply insert a wire in there and it will work.

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!
Personally I use an MSD DIS tach driver under the hood. Two wires go into the ignition module, a ground, then one goes back to the e-manage. I know thats more work but oh well... works just great.
