Weird wideband question
Wednesday, December 17, 2008 6:52 AM
First of all I have the moates o-meter with the innovate lc1, lately the weather made a weird transition from being in the 70's to the next day being in the low 20's sometimes mid thirtys I would guess. When I get out of work at night my screen doesn't display the afr only a red line. I noticed that it will start to display once the car is almost all the way up to operating temp.anyone else had a problem like this? With the lc1 not displaying afr until its warmed up?

Its the nature of O2 sensors, they have to be warm (very warm) for them to work. That's why most wideband sensors and many narrowband sensors are heated.
