Ok im not really sure where to put this but im pretty sure its a tuning issue. When im driving my car and im in any gear but 4th and i am decelerating and i push the clutch in like im going to stop the car idles fine. Now if im in 4th gear and i do the same thing the car dies. Its only in 4th gear under deceleration. This issue has been driving me nuts because i use 4th the most out of all the gears. The car is flashed with hp tuners so if someone thinks they might know what would fix the problem i can adjust accordingly. Thanks in advance.

I had a similar issue! Mine would run fine, once in PE, then deceleration it would die at a stop when I pressed the clutch in. I discconected the battery for about 15 mins then hooked it back up, runs like a champ! lol Try that if you havent?
fixed it. there was a mistake in hpt i didnt see.

Care to explain the details of the problem, so if this comes up in the future for anyone else it can be used to help them?

I had the deceleration fuel cut off rpm trigger set lower than the rpm i was in when cruising in 4th gear and it wasnt turning back on. so it was cutting fuel off and thats why it was stalling

Well alright then...
...I purchased Andrew's 2000 Supercharged Cavalier a year ago. Took it to a tuning shop when I got it to no-rust land...took them a while to figure out why there was an Apexi II engine management system attached to the Cavalier...but they got it running well...with one exception: Rolling to a stop, at low speed, clutch in, hit the brake with any force at all...she stalls.
Now, I've installed, after rewiring the injector harness, new, larger injectors. Super cold plugs...all that is needed to support the bigger injectors: had it retuned. Still stalls.
If you EASE to a stop, feathering the brake pedal...it stays running. Mostly. Any normal braking or hard braking (like pulling it up short) it stalls.
So: first off: anyone know the exact settings that should be used on the 2.4 LD9/M45 S/Cer for the Apexi II? My tuning guy fixed MANY issues the car was having performance-wise, but she still leans out at high RPMs...so I don't do high RPM stuff anymore...which sort of defeats having a SUPERCHARGED CAR...oops, sorry...frustration showing.
We're getting ready to rip the underside of the car apart...new Tein adjustable system/wheels and tires going on...so figured this might be a good time to either yank the engine and P/P everything or work on the engine management so it doesn't blow up and ruin all Andrew's hard work.
Okay, any info you need, let me know.
Thanks people. G
If i wanted a civic i'd have had japanese parents! now figure out how to make this fit!!

Sounds like something to do with the IAC, could be the IAC it's self or setting controlling it.

Thanks John...the Idle AC, that was actually on my list of things to check out...so I guess I'll move it to the fore.
I'm new to working on these LD9's and J's and I know there's lots of 'quirks' when you boost them that need taken care of.
I'll just keep reading the Stickys! Thanks again.
I don't know about the Apexi, but I have found that on my MS-II if I allow the IAC to be turned back to 0 steps, that the engine has a problem stalling.
