the hpt box has a record button but i hit record and it does not record... is this able to button suppose to record without the laptop in the car? and then how am i suppose to take this off of the box and on to my laptop to see later?

i have the enhanced version with the i/o box, thats the box that has the record button.

That feature is not enabled, its supposed to record WITHOUT the laptop in the car. Its called blackbox logging, and should be turned on shortly after the beginning of July.
