fuel pressure question?
Saturday, January 20, 2007 7:22 AM
I just have a quick question for yall. My friend has a 200 sunny with the 2200. He is running a t-3 supper 60, 550 RC injectors, and some other stuff. My question is is it normal for his idle fuel pressure to have to be set at 80-90 lbs for the car to idle? We also gutted the stock fuel pressure regulator. Any help will be useful.

No, with 550's and no tuning, the pressure should be closer to 20lbs

Thats what I thought, but when i turned the pressure down his wide band pegged lean and the car tried to shut off. He has mega squirt is there a field we need to change to correct this? I appreciate all the help you can give us on this. Someone else wired and set up his program for the standalone.

I'm surprised the car will even idle at 80-90 psi of fuel. That should be making it run like total ass.

I know that the fuel pressure is to high. What I'm asking is what would be the best way to correct this. Any help would be nice.
