I have an Innovative wideband and gauge kit I picked up from Karo. Can replace the first factory o2 sensor with the wideband one ??? I do have HP Tuners if the computer will throw a code

No, you need the stock 02 sensor for your car to run correctly, just have an exhaust shop weld in the second bung that comes with it.

So there's no way for the factory ecu to read the wideband even eith HPT?
2000 Z24 5spd header & catback for now.
Some widebands have 2 outputs. 1 output for the factory ECU and the second for the wideband gauge. If that were the case with the Innovative WB, I was wondering if I could configure the OE ECU to read for it. HPTuners said I can do it, but told me to search for the people who have done it

I believe the LC-1 can do narrowband emulation, but still it will not match the exact voltage curves which your ECU is programmed to expect from the stock 02 sensor. Therefore at idle and in closed loop, afrs are going to be off somewhat.
HPT has nothing to do with it, you can delete the codes it throws when you remove the stock 02 sensor, but doesn't mean your car won't run as well as it would if you just welded in the bung and kept your stock sensor.

The LC-1 has two analog outputs. It has the yellow wire 0-1v output for the stock o2 narrowband simulation, and the brown 0-5v output for the wideband. You can switch those around however in LM Programmer and you can mess with the voltage outputs too. So yes you can use the Innovate wideband as a stock replacement with the yellow wire, and still be able to use it as a wideband.

Jason ask Brian, he's using his wideband to do everything like you want to, i dont think its causing a problem.
