im fairly new at the body work thing, id rather work on performance and soundsystem, but what is the easiest way to remove the emblems with minimal or no scratching or paint damage. I already @!#$ up my hood and dont feel like fixing the trunk.
help is very much appreciated
use WD-40 and possibly a hair dryer and use something to pry them off perhaps a peice of plastic cutlery
I used a heat gun, most hair dryers don't quite get hot enough. Dont over heat it, but let it heat up enough to be hot lol. Then just pull. Some people use fishing line, I didn't. Then you may have to rub some of the foam tape stuff to get it off. Hetaing again throughout that can help. Then Goo Gone or lighter fluid (same difference) will practically wash away any left over residue. A little paper towel rub may be needed. Then you're good to go. Make sure any extra Goo gone or lighter fluid is rinsed off, Im not sure if it will hurt your paint if its left on for too long.

I used fishing line and goo-gone on mine and it worked great. I didn't use any heat source, though. I did it last summer when it was about 30 degrees celcius and that was enough to soften up the 3M tape that the factory uses to adhere the emblems.
I just washed my car with some hot water.. don't ask
, then used the fishing line and some goo gone, stripped the car of the old wax.. buffed and waxed it and you can not tell there was ever anything there.
