i have 97 z24 coup skirts on my 01 sedan base modle. you have to drill some holes. if your gonna get them get the anchors that are on the donor car too it will make it easier. but they are not needed.

bumpers are direct swaps (except for you need to trim a little bit of the fender lining in the front if you keep the ones that are on the base model). skirts fit, just need to drill some holes.

Just put the front bumper on, then look at how the front half of the plastic fender liner doesn't quite fit. Just trim it up with a utility knife. 10 minutes max. Or you could just get the Z24 front liners and have the right fit. Other than this issue, direct swap. Rear is direct swap. Side skirts require holes along the rocker for the clips that snap in, and a row of holes along the bottom of the car for the screws that hold the brace. Swapping the whole kit out should take you no more than an hour and a half to two hours if you have the right tools. Very simple swap.

BTW, if you need a kit, I am selling mine.

yup, i swapped mine out, they are talking about the little lip piece that sits under the bumper. other than that, they were a direct bolt on.

I read some where that you can use pop rivets to hold the z24 bumper on. Is that correct?

Why would you want to? It's held on with 4 plastic retainers that come out easy, and a few screws on each side. If you pop rivet anything, you'd have to drill it out to remove it.

There are no lips. The bumpers themselves are lower. Besides, it's easier to swap the base model bumper out for the Z24 bumper than it is to install a lip. Seriously, it's a very easy job.

The trimming we're refering to is the fender liners. You basicly just need to trim off the lower lip that runs under your factory bumper. If you look at your wheel wells, you will notice that they are two pieces: front half and rear half. You will also notice that the front half runs under the bumper, and has a lip that matches up to the deflector under the middle of the bumper. This part of the wheel well liner is what needs to be trimmed, because it runs into the Z24 bumper.

plus by the car in your sig, you have a 95-99 base model. the front bumper for a 95-99 z24 is completely different looking to the base model. they're not just lips added to the base model bumper like from 00 and up.

Do you mean the skirts? As in the side skirts (or lips I guess?). If so yes. If you mean the front there is No lip the whole bumper IS the lip...
Or do you mean the '02 style lower lips? If so no.
We're not following ya here.

so its not a "lip" on the front or rear its just part of the bumper?

so to get the z24 look i would have to swap the bumpers and install the skirts right?

He is talk about the chin spoiler on the front, the small black strip the runs the width of the front of the car. you know the thing that scrapes if you pull up to a curb if you sit stock height. I know cause i did it, heres a pic of mine with it before paint

small prob, if you dont use the clips for the side skirts, they will sag a bit.....
