Just wondering if anyone can help be out. I'm shaving my 2001 Sunfire Trunk this weekend, and need some pics of various ppls trunks who are shaved. A nice "how-to" wouldn't be too bad either
Thanks guys
Come one guys, i need some finished prodcut pics
look up john piparo..his is shaved
its not that hard...just fill in the cracks and what yuo want to make smoote with fiberglass..preferably tiger hair.its liek bondo but its fiberglass.
DO NOT USE BONDO TO FILL IT IN......it will crack the first time you shut your trunk

This is not a sunfire end but it will give you an idea of what you will have to deal with. When you start shaving be pre-pared to break out the welder and sheet metal because that is the only way to fully seal something without it cracking.

Just dont rush through it. This isn't a cheap part to replace. Just make sure you plan everything out and take your time and you should do fine!
Make sure to post some pics when ur done.
Thanks for the tips. Especialy you Nate, what a help you were, next time those coments can be kept to yourself...
I'll have some pics up after this week..
UM break out the welder and sheet metal to shave a sunfire trunk when the black piece is plastic? I am a little confused on how that woudl work. Mayb i am just miss understanding something. I was wondering how to go about shaving the sunfire plastic piece as well.
you have to take the plastic piece out and have to weld in the sheet metal. you dont leave the plastic in there.
