Fabbing a 99 body kit

now I've just heard rumors but have no actual proof....

Friend of mine told me that it's possible to fit a 99 aftermarket combat style front bumper on a 2001 cav.

mentioned something about having to do the headlight mod and make them 1999 headlights instead of the 01's.

does it sound like he knows what he's talking about?

yes, but he's suggesting doing it the hard way...

all you really have to do is trim down the area under the headlights to make room for the 2001 headlights. if you don't feel comfortable doing it, a body shop should be able to do it in just a few minutes. it'll be easier than rewiring the headlights.

sorry for long wait in reply.

sounds like it wouldn't be that hard to make the things fit. Rewiring isn't my forte.

What do you suggest I use to shave off some of the bumper? heavy sanding till it's down far enough or should I get some sort of cutting tool like a grinder or even a Dremmel?

a dremel is your best friend...

just remember, measure twice, cut once. lol. at least fiberglass is forgiving, so if you do mess it up, you can fix it.
