Hey, need some help/advice.
My g/f has an 02 Sunfire, this morning on the way to work a big chunk of dirt/rock came flying off a truck in front of her and smashed her sunroof, there is a nice sized hole.
I've only found one place in my area (Milwaukee) that will replace it but I have to find glass from a junkyard (no one seems to have it) or a dealer ($400.)
So my questions are this... how hard is it to replace? And is anyone parting out a newer Sunfire that I could buy the glass out of?
Thanks
They are not hard to replace at all. I think you could it for way cheaper than that and fix it yourself.
ahhhhh *NEEDS EDIT BUTTON* lol
should say i dont know if hehad a sunroof on his sunfire...lol not " i dont know if he had a sunfire on his car"
The glass is easy to take out, at least on Cavys, it's only held in by 6 torx screws, 3 on either side.
I have a sunroof that is electric, took it out of my car after like 2 weeks of owning it to replace it with a sliding ragtop. I've been looking to get rid of it ever since but never knew anyone that wanted it. All it would take is unbolting and bolting back. Email me with a reasonable offer at chris@winksonline.com
too bad she didn't get the truck info...the company is reponsible for damage...it happened to my windshield once. i was smart enough to call the co.
a sunroof glass from a cavy or a never grand am will fit on that sunfire !
