is the gas door on a cavy just held on by the little rod ? if yes how come mine wont budge ? could it just be seized ?
there should be a couple rivets holding the hinge onto the car. it would be easier to drill those out than it would be to try and get the hinge rod out.
hmmmm i just need to change the door with the custom one i am making, i dont have the hinge assembly from the other one !

on mine there were a couple bolts that went through the 1/4 and were held on by a couple nuts on the backside (7mm or 10mm, not sure what...)
held on by 2 9mm nuts on the back side in the fender well

Everything else on a cavy is 7mm, so thats prolly what it its, i dont think i've ever used a 9mm on my car. Not saying your wrong since i have no idea what it is, im just saying ive never seen a 9mm, mostly 7 and 10.... But this IS GM were talking about so theres no telling.
