Okay, I've read the post about Darkstars joureny with installing this kit, and I ask myself if its even worth it or not.
If anyone can elaberate on the issue with installing this thing, it would be great preciated. I know it has to go over the stock bumper.....dont really know how it can do that but what ever.....
Second question. Would this front match up with the drift side skirts?
Cause here is the setup I really want to go with. Kinda "different". But I dont know if everything would match up correctly. What do yall think?
Front: GM Extreme
Side: Drift
Rear: 03 LS Sport
But I also thought about going with....
Front: GM Extreme
Side: GM Extreme
Rear: 03 LS Sport
or going with....
Front: GM Extreme
Side: GM Extreme
Rear: GM Extreme
I dont know what to do. I'm confused and very scared....lol. Any suggestions and comments are welcome.
Thanks guys
if you want to see how it would look, try to find pics of the kit parts that match the angle of a pic of your car and take em over to the image manipulation forum. personally i think the all extreme would look good, and the ls rear wouldn't look bad, but i don't think the drift would flow well with it, just my oppinion.
I *think* darkstars had such a hard time with the fitment because the extreme was made to fit over the base/ls bumpers and not the LS Sport kit.

I believe you're right.
....and Memphis, if you decide to get rid of your LS sport sides, hook me up with 'em

Ok the factory LS sport does NOT interfere with the fit of the front endits fits dirrectly snug up against it but doesn't get in the way, the problem is th @!#$y fit where front meets the fenders (because it fits on top of the stock front which fits flush this sticks out and does not fit flush) and around the headlights and the front grill area. The quality of the edges and and overall finish of the piece is sloppy.
Its to the point where this winter my car gets a major makeover and the xtreme tuner is not included in the new plans
Well, I've thought about this some more, and I really want to go with the full GM kit. Its simple, clean, and looks great! Darkstars do you have any pics of the install...or did a shop do it? Also, is it fiberglass or uthane?
^^^ It's urethane. There are a couple pics around of install (I know b/c I was there to help install
) you can prolly find them on his webpage
www.projectdarkstars.com
Its not uerathane, its like an ABS plastic kinda thing, I had it profesionally painted then but install was in my driveway. I used ot have pics of the install but nothing anymore
So does the side (that bolts to the fender) slip over the top of the OEM side? I can see that the upper front (bow tie area) is part of the stock bumper. Was there much cutting of the stock bumper.
And you need to email those install pics dude!
