I was wondering how can I paint that black piece of door panel on the door the paint has scratched off from being touched so much and I was wanting to see if there was a way to take it off or just mask around it and paint?

are you talking about the b-pillar?

if so, i believe you can take it off. otherwise someone does offer carbon fiber covers for them.

Yeah thats what Im talking about the reason I was asking because when I took ouit the screw and tried to take it off you have to use some force and I thought I heard something snapping so I stopped and was wondering if anybody else ever took theirs off.

The B pillar you take off as follows.....

wind down your window
pull the window seal near the b pillar off...
look inside your door, where the b pillar is....(look into where you just pulled off the seal) there should be 3 screws...

Take out the screws... and it should pop right off... (easier to pop off if you take off the black piece at the bottom of your window also...
