Ok. So i'm getting water in my headlamps. So this weekend I plan on taking the lens off, cleaning out the inside, painting parts of the housing and resealing it. I have just a couple of questions before I do any of this.
1- What sealer should I use?
2- That thing that sits in front of the bulb (don't know what it is called), what would happen if I removed it?
1. Clear silicone
2. No you can't remove it. It's what reflects the light from the bulb to the housing behind the bulb. Only way you can is if you make your own projectors.

I'll have to take it off and see what kind of beam I get before putting the lens back on.
How hard was it to get it off???

is completely
INCORRECT.
that cap does not reflect anything, it is there so you dont blind yourself with the filament. light can only technically be reflected by the housing, and you should not be able to see the filament (because it is very blinding), so thats why thats there.

So long it gets me a better beam of light, I'm gonna leave it without. I'll let ya'll know the results.
dude, its not gonna make your beam of light better. put it back on before you freaking blind everyone.
