Burnt out one of my highbeam lights. Any reccomendations on what to get? I live out in the country and want something insanely bright, but i can't afford the projector kits.

Since HIDs are out, I'd say Silverstars.

Silverstars are definitely bright and PIAA's are bright but a little expensive.
Id say go with the Silverstars.

If you can't afford HID's go with the silver stars. I will never own another vehicle in my life without HID's.

go for the silvania silverstar regular headlighst man. they are the brightest you can get without upgrading your entire plugs and all. they cost about 40 bux for a set of two.. bit pricey for two bulbs but are damn good lights. in my opinion they are brighter than my highbeams..

If you can find the Osram Silverstars, Osram being the parent company of Sylvania - based in Germany, those will be brighter because of the bulbs same technology, but no blue filter on the bulb. Any blue filter will cut light output unless the wattage of the bulb is pumped up to compensate. But that extra wattage is what melts harnesses, housings, etc... I've also read good things about HiR-type bulbs. Those are those infrared-reflective bulbs that burn very bright and white without a color filter. Here's a writeup about it: http://hidplanet.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=14543&sid=5a545396f3b5c7058506f52e6c098756
