Need some wiring help, well kinda. 9007 Pigtails

O no.. another headlight swap question.. o my god.. lmao. i know. BUT im trying to help out where there wont be these kinda questions all the time so help me out

Ok, on a 00 cavy pigtail, each color is what is listed below
Driverside 9007 Pigtail
Dark Blue = Low Beam
Blue(middle wire) = Ground
Pink = High Beam

Passengerside 9007 Pigtail
Dark Blue = Low Beam
Orange(middle wire) = Ground
Pink = High Beam

Now, thats for 00 cavalier. I on the other hand have to be difficult and i have a 9? Sunfire harness.. The wire colors are different.. So i took comparison pictures of the 00 connector driver and pass.

Now after looking at the pigtails, u can see the sunfire wire colors are all the same on both sides but the wire colors are different than the 00 pigtails.. My question is, if i compare the wire locations the same do you think there the same wire? Cuz this is what i figure for each wire color after comparing the 2

Driverside 9? Sunfire............................................Driverside 01 Cavalier
Tan = Low Beam....................................................Dark Blue = Low Beam
Black(middle wire) = Ground...............................Blue(middle wire) = Ground
Light Green = High Beam.....................................Pink = High Beam

Driverside 9? Sunfire..............................................Driverside 01 Cavalier
Tan = Low Beam.....................................................Dark Blue = Low Beam
Black(middle wire) = Ground................................Orange(middle wire) = Ground
Light Green = High Beam......................................Pink = High Beam

Does anyone have a 95-99 sunfire wiring diagram that can verify these colors are correct on what the wire is(low, ground, or high). I mean i figure its common sense and simple but then i thought its to simple if there just the same so i figured i would try and get some second opinions on it. Thanks for the help, if so i guess ill be splicing tomma

cant say for sure, but i would assume the locations would be the same, regardless of wire color, due to the fact that they both have the 9007 bulbs, so the wire positioning on the bulb itself wouldnt change. i dont see how the pigtail wiring would.

so, to sum up, i would say this is correct like yo have it

Driverside 9? Sunfire............................................Driverside 01 Cavalier
Tan = Low Beam....................................................Dark Blue = Low Beam
Black(middle wire) = Ground...............................Blue(middle wire) = Ground
Light Green = High Beam.....................................Pink = High Beam

Driverside 9? Sunfire..............................................Driverside 01 Cavalier
Tan = Low Beam.....................................................Dark Blue = Low Beam
Black(middle wire) = Ground................................Orange(middle wire) = Ground
Light Green = High Beam......................................Pink = High Beam

if really unsure, break out a multi-meter, but i think its safe to assume they are the same. or test a bulb on em

ps - good work!!

Thanks joe, like i said it would make sense.. but sumtimes GM likes throwing those change ups lmao. cuz each wire goes into the pin inside the socket, which matches up with the headlight bulb.. so i guess they couldnt really change that or the headlights might not work. so i kinda answered my own question but i still thought it was a good idea to get some other people's opinions.

Jeff.. yes progress finally.. hopefully next tuesday ill have ym car on the lift to swap the harness.. found its alot easier to do when the car is up in the air lmao
Joey, this is just a small amount of the write up. im typing it all out on word and its already 5 pages but thats with kenwood kav's 00-99 swap and i still gotta add the 96-00 swap.. but there is alot of info so anyone wanting to do any front end swap, theyll have the info needed hopefully.

Tan = Low Beam Ground....................................................Dark Blue = Low Beam Ground
Black(middle wire) = Positive(always hot)...............................Blue(middle wire) = Positive(always hot)
Light Green = High Beam Ground.....................................Pink = High Beam Ground

Passenger 9? Sunfire..............................................Passenger 01 Cavalier
Tan = Low Beam Ground.....................................................Dark Blue = Low Beam Ground
Black(middle wire) = Positive(always hot)................................Orange(middle wire) = Positive(always hot)
