Roof Weight limit

Ok, had I had a very random question. I wondering how much the roof on a j-body(2002 pont. sunfire) can hold. I just bought an inflatable boat that folds up and stores in a bag. It is too big to fit in the trunk and I don't want to take up the entire back seat area. The roof would be perfect size and strapping it down through the door holes with ratchet straps would be easy too. Today I went and pushed on different sections of the roof and I really cant see problem with putting something up there. I better check here first though. Anyways, the bag for the boat measures L45"xW19"H14" and weighs 75lbs. Does anyone have any experience car topping things with their j-body? If so, where/how would be the best place to position the load? Thanks for all the help!

Have Fun!

dont take my advice sence i really dont knwo if you want to do it this way or not. I dont see any problem with the weight of it on there. Thats like nothing. Ive had a couple people on my roof sitting on there. Granted they were only on the door frame and up by the windshield brace. Tehy wer all around were the car had the roof braces. Now i had my cousin up on the roof of it in the middle and he is 100 maybe a 120? some were in there and it would sink in but pop right back out when he moved off the spot. Idk check with others and see what they think about it.

Use roof racks, they distribute the weight of the load out to the edges of the roof where it is stronger.
