So my less than two year old Sunfire started to rust just below the windows. Now at this point I'm past the warrenty period for corrosion, but after enough yelling at the dealer the Pontiac rep has agreed to let it becovered. I think this just might be the first time the dealer has ever been useful since I bought my J.
WOW dude.... do you happen to live near a source of salt... like on a coast??
NO...it's NOT a freakin' Honda!!!
that really sucks. i live in the desert, so our cars never ever see salt (or snow for that matter, and hardly any rain). My 97 cav has zero rust spots in it
That really sucks. especially for it only bein 2 years old. and i live in montana and see tons of rain. salt. and snow. and its a 96. not an inch of rust. just alot of rock chips.
Indiana, and ive got some on the underbody (mainly stuff not covered with the underbody coating), and i got a small rust spot driver's side rear fender (dime sized). It really surprised me how well it's been despite the salt and snow we get here.
The only rust I've found on my 98 is on the inside of the doors, on the parts where the joint sorta rolls into place, and some other spots where paint has worn or been chipped off. Nothing noticable unless you're really looking hard for it.
my cav is 5 years old, water driven ever winter and no rust... thats just insane.... u must o back ur car into a big pile of salt... haha
What the deuce?
