I was just wondering if anyone has had any problems with the exhaust tip turning black and also a black mark on the bumper right above the tip. Its all stock right now, so is somthing wrong with my ecotec or is this normal, what can i do to fix it, thanks for any help
If its too loud, your too old
That usually means that your car is running a little rich.
I get a little black on the tip but never on the rear bumper. I believe Kardain is right, sounds a bit rich...

i have had this issue in the past. is there anyway to tune this without picking up an aftermarket computer? 01 z24
Make sure the plugs, wires, and emissions control are all in good order. Might also want to check the DIS modules as well.
