i have the RK Sport J Type kit on my cavy, the side skirt top will not stay on the body. i have used 3m 2 sided tape but the heat makes it come off again, is there anything else out there that i can use other than molding the kit on? any help will be greatly appreciated.
um.....you are suppose to screw them on in the fender edges...............lol........not just double sided tape
*************Yea i spell liek wrong get over it*****************

i have never seen them screwed in.... i have seen lots of rk kits on cavys never seen that... fenders? u mean quarter panel? good idea though, i thought of that, but will it suck the quarter panel out? what screws should i use?
you shouldnt need anything for it but it doesnt hurt. if you screw the sides on in the wheel wells, it should hold in place the way it is and fit fine
I had to screw mine in, they would sag otherwise

Even with the screws on the inside of the fenders, both mine and Jack Browns came loose as well. I used a clear silicone to hold them in place. Worked great, and I still got mine off when I sold my kit last winter.

anyone know what that silicon or 3m "crazy glue" could be called? can i get it at auto zone?
the tape that comes on the skirts came loose on mine also. but i just bought some double sided tape from the hardware store, cleaned up the quarter panel, and stuck it back on... never came loose again.
if you are having such large issues then just hand the skirts over, and i will give you my bomex skirts. you will never have a problem with these....

yeah, the tape that comes on the skirts is worthless. i went to a hardware store and got some 3m double sided mounting tape, put a screw in the wheel well, and tape along the quarter panel. i've never had a problem with it.
and don't hit road kill....
This put my paint job on hold till I get em replaced

Is te clear silicon noticable? I have a black car so I used black silicon, but it has faded and collect dirt and is very noticable.

It was underneath the sideskirt, how would you see it? Unless you used too much and didn't clean the excess off...
