Well, I got most of the parts and did the cavfire swap.
If you notice, the headlights don't sit right. Is that because I still have the sunfire headlight clips in the radiator support? Also, anyone have a picture of what a 95-99 cavalier hood latch looks like? My hood doesn't shut right and I wanna see what's so different between the two. Third, if anyone has the hood latch and the clips, i could really use them (hint hint). Finally, those of you with this hood, where did you put the hood pins? Did you drill into the front of the radiator support?
i kept the sunfire hoodlatch when i did my swap, still worked np,
theres a metal bracket for the cavalier headlights that makes the outside corners sit higher... lts pretty small and easy to miss.
The latch will be the same but the hood striker may be different I know when I did my swap the hood latch had to be moved up but that was an 03 cavy front, as far as the headlights are concerned the plastic clip should be the same but 95-99 projectors are a bi#ch to line up I would find some stock headlight brackets and bolt those to your projectors and then try to aim them better at least thats what I did on my girlfriends car.
Not sure if the bumper supports are difrent from sunfire`s to cavalier`s. But if they are any you need 1 i got a spare 1 lol. If ya need get ahold of me
PaCavalier
who makes that hood and where can i get it???

I ended up taking out the headlight clips, and oddly, they don't bounce around at all. I used the stock latch and just bent it a bit so it was possible to access. I don't have have an aftermarket hood, so I really can't help ya there.
The hood is from class glass performance - the avenger hood. Jason from A+ sells it. Anyone have a picture of the metal headlight bracket that I might be missing?
i put my hood pin studs right thru the rubber hood stops and put a washer on the backside of the rubber hood stopper, you will have fun drilling thru the rubber stopper, use lots of water to help keep it cool.
sorry no pics.
also i replaced the headlamp clips with cavi ones also same with the hood latch and striker. then it all fit great.
My car was made with wrenches, Not chopsticks.
did you use the 2 closer to the front, or the ones closer to the edge of the fenders?
I used the ones on the upper radiator support tie bar just above the headlamps mount brkts, they are black rubber and
screw in and out of the upper radiator support tie bar.
i will try and find a pic later for you.

Rock on, those fit perfect, and I had just enough thread on the hood pins for it to fit. I did however gimp up one of the rubber thingies; silly me, didn't hold it with pliers and spun it and broke it. Thanks muchly brother, I appreciate it. One last question, there's 2 adjustment screws on the headlights. Got the driver's side headlight fitting pretty golden, the passenger still sits up all retarded. Any suggestions to get it to drop down at the tip?
I had to dremel the hell out of the a/m headlamp brkts.

you hvae to get the rebar for the cavalier front end........... you go to the junkyard...... about 25 bucks i paid.... and ask for a cavalier rebar bracket......... you take off your existing sunfire one, and put the cavalier one on....... not sure what kit you have is that a DRIFT? you might have to trim the black honeycomb plastic for that kit to fit on.. you might not........
thats your problem solver....... i know im a cavfire
hood latch works the same
not true. i still have my sunfire one. works fine. take off all that black bumper support crap, with a fiberglass kit its useless.
I don't have the honeycomb thingie on it at all, and it's a buddy club 2 front bumper. I think I'm going to take it to a shop cause I just don't have the time anymore to work on it. Also, is the hood supposed to sit forward a little bit from the fenders?
