fiberglass people help me out, :molding bumper:

Ok ive looking around the site at all the fiberglass tips and still cant figure out how to get the fiberglass supported so that it doesnt sage
Here is a pic of what i plan to do
Red=fiberglassed over
Black=Opened up

if you dont know how to fiberglass please dont do it because fiberglass can be tricky to do if u dont know how to do glassing and im not trying to be a dick about this but your going to get flammed. plus do some searching on the net on how to do fiberglassing and then maybe u can do this big project.

The way i would do it is to take some foam, fill in the section, then sand it down to flow with the bumper, then fiberglass on top of that. that should work for ya

alright thanks for the tips, the only way to learn is to go out there and do it, IMO it doesnt seem like that big of a project, its just filling a gap and opening up the bottom.....

Take the bumper off Cut from behind the area off flush with the front off the bumper use 40 grit sand paper and sand down a 3 to 4 inch area around the hole both sides grab duct tape fill in the front of the hole with duct tape as a backing lay you matted fibreglass on the inside of the back of the bumper i'd say 3 layers for good hard backing let it harded one at a time then on the front of the bumper you should have a 1- 1/2 inch drop fill that in with a strip of fiberglass and then what ever you want I.E. angel hair bondo/fibreglass sand it flat and the rest is what you should know already good luck
